《翻译》考试大纲
一、性质与目的
本考试属于英汉翻译能力测试，旨在检测考生是否达到基础阶段教学大纲所规定的专项能力要求，考查学生掌握翻译基本知识和技巧、熟悉英汉两种语言基本特点的情况，以及运用翻译理论知识和技巧解释双语现象的能力和实际汉英互译的能力。考试执行教育部颁发的《高等学校英语专业基础阶段教学大纲》和外国语学院制定的《英语专业本科教学大纲》的标准。
本考试的目的是从普通高校专科毕业生中挑选优秀者插入本科三年级学习。
二、考试内容与要求
1、考试内容
1）英汉互译常用的方法和技巧，包括词义的选择、词类的转换、词的增减；重复法、语序调整、正反译法、拆译法、缩译法、被动式的翻译、长句的翻译等。
2）英汉两种语言与文化的差异知识；
2、考试基本要求
1) 熟悉基本的翻译理论知识和技巧，并能在初级英汉/汉英翻译中恰当地运用；
能够运用英汉、汉英翻译的基本方法与技巧，以每小时250—300词的翻译速度，翻译英/汉报刊杂志上有关政治、经济、历史、文化等方面的一般性论述及一般性文学作品节录；
在翻译中正确转达原文所包含的中国和英语国家的文化内涵；
译文基本忠实原文的事实和细节。
三、考试形式及试卷结构
1、考试形式
闭卷笔试，考试时间为120分钟，试卷满分为100分。
2、试卷结构
试卷分为两个部分：第一部分为翻译技巧的运用，第二部分为短文翻译。

Part I: Multiple Choice (2’x10=20%)
This part consists of five English sentences and five Chinese sentences, each followed by four different versions marked A, B, C and D. Choose the one that is the closest equivalent of the original in terms of meaning, expressiveness and style and write the answer on the answer sheet.

Part IV: Passage Translation (25%)
Translate the following passage from English to Chinese，faithfully reflecting all the original passage.
Difficult as a journey is, everyone has to take a journey of life. Some people travel with an anxious heart and hurried steps, keeping their destination in view but ignoring the scenery along the road. But the road is long and endless. Others travel like tourists, unhurriedly stopping here and there to enjoy flowers that bloom and fade, and clouds that coil and unfold. Sometimes they have also to travel against the wind and through the rain, but their hearts are like an open net, which lets out anxiety and worry.
Who is there but takes a journey of life? Only one mustn’t ignore the beautiful scenery along the road. The place where one works is small, and so are the house where he lives and the social circle in which he moves. Some people get more and more dissatisfied with the monotony, while others are always cheerful and contented, and accept his circumstances with good will.[1]
Part V: Passage Translation (25%)
Translate the following passage from Chinese to English, faithfully reflecting all the original passage.
前几日，一位阔别多年的文友经过辗转曲折的多方“寻觅”，终于通过另外一位朋友向我传达了他急于同我重建联系的渴望。这位友人多年前就跻身商海，今日已很有成就，他对中间传话的友人说：“我找他找了十几年了！”这一句话，我听后顿觉心头一热，眼眶内便有激动的液体涌流出来。不是我过于脆弱，而实在是身处当今这物欲横流的时代，还有什么比听到有人一句相知的话语，而更令人激动的呢？友情是需要永远珍惜和爱护的, 并且不断赋予她新的内容。没有朋友的人生该是多么荒凉和寂寞。
